I just edited my post really because it sounded judgmental, which I have no room to be. Seriously, hope you get it fixed, but was wondering if there just hasn't been the kind of work you wanted up, etc

TBH, I was thinking about motivation and I think a lot of it depends on how much you 'keep' and possibly age(i'm about to be 27). I think that a lot of the people we see on here with constant motivation and who always put in hard work are at least a few years younger than us, so they're more content with earning $200, 300, etc. IE, it's like nothing but 'wins' for them even when they aren't earning too much(as it would have been for me also at that age, or even last year)

Bit of a ramble, wondering if the key to staying motivated is to have lower goals versus higher, because then you feel like you're always winning?(dealing with motivation myself here, trying to increase it)
Not judgemental. It's just odd the guy who always preached work ethic is now so lazy haha.

As far as I know there hasn't been a great deal of "free" money recently.
So yea there's been money but you have to work for it. Bleh.

I can work 3 days a week, Gina works 4 or 5 and we're covered. Not building up our bank account but not dipping into our house fund either so it's all good.

For me it's higher goals that keep me going.
Thinking about it like a video game.
Trying to beat your high score. Setting personal bests and then beating them again.

plenty of us who make a living wage are on the wrong side of 27, too
I know, it's a delusional thing, like supposedly when you're gambling and you start to lose money, you start to think very stupid(I forget the analogy, have a PC in the living room and being annoyed by people)

Principal Skinner: Oh, licking envelopes can be fun! All you have to do is make a game of it.
Bart: What kind of game?
Principal Skinner: Well, for example, you could see how many you could lick in an hour, then try to break that record.
Bart: Sounds like a pretty crappy game to me.

Exactly, that's really what I was mostly interested in bro -- You're known for being the energy drink chugging guy who got work done lol

Yeah, it's the actual study from this requester. It's called "Participate in an Interactive Study Session" and starts on the hour. They had a couple running today.

My goal is to work as little as possible while making what I need. Your avoidance of crappy recent work is a good sign you're maturing as a turker. I'd only worry if you start avoiding good work. "Motivation" is relative to what you need and what's available.

I'm 26 with a wife and 3 kids. If I were single I would spend ALL day on Mturk. There are other situations more important though. I would rather spend 14 hours a day on MTurk getting a savings established than changing diapers and cooking grilled cheese, but I like giving the wife a break and some attention.
Yeah seriously, I have brothers and family who are much older, I'm not trying to make it sound like 27 is 'old', but I think society/parents etc, initiate a kind of shift at that age where now you start thinking, "Oh crap, I need to make up for lost time", and that has lead me(at least), to unrealistic goals, which then leads to no motivation and then not working consistently

I guess what I'm thinking is that what kills motivation( my motivation) is high goals(not low goals) + short term thinking. When really it's more like, it took awhile to get into this hole(living in an apt, low bank account, bad work history, obv, other problems), and it will take awhile to get out. Deal with it

Yeah seeing CJ look like he's dropped out of turking caused me to have a crisis I guess, LOL. Nah, just thinking about the motivation aspect since for me it's half the battle

Every time someone posts one of those red panda images, he gets a nickel from owning the copyright to most of them. He's making bank.
