You pretty much answered my question. Thanks.

I'm thinking about making the jump. The yearly plan seems like a pretty good deal @ $17/mo with the Ebay coupon.
Yep, that's the one I'm on, with 1000 minutes right? Be absolutely sure you won't use more than that - their refill system is such that if you pay to get more minutes, it wipes out anything you might have already had - the same if you try to upgrade plans.

(That might work for you, but I have the sort of brain that goes "oh I only have 200 minutes left for the month, I'd better get more" - and it turned out I lost the minutes I had once I'd bought the refill and it was appllied to my account. RP customer service just kinda shrugged and went "sorry, that's how our system is set up" when I asked them about it.)

Customer service is great otherwise, signal strength is great - it's just annoying if you use your phone at all and don't sign up for an unlimited plan.

Really that seems like most online games these days.
Become very neckbeard heavy in the last 5 years imo.
I can only speak to MMOs, but I guess it depends on what your goal is playing them. If you're into endgame stuff, I'm sure you're most likely right and that's the case - if you're more just into leveling toons and derping around and, I don't know, seeing how much of a cliff it takes to jump off to kill you at various levels *cough*, I haven't had a problem finding reasonably pleasant people to do that with who don't care if you're spending 4 hours a day playing. Mileage probably varies a lot in this case.

(edited to add: 5 years on SWTOR, nearly a year into Neverwinter due to this great guild I tripped and fell into - enough months into WoW to get bored; then ESO came along and I fell in mad love)

I used to make good money playing those games long ago.
Were you a streamer? Alas, I am not that pretty a girl; from what little I know it kinda seems like you have to be if you're a girl and you want to make money doing that.

I'd love to do endgame stuff, but my facial hair doesn't extend far enough down my neck and I bathe too much. It's a problem.

Don't they make MMOs for people with actual real life schedules?

I used to sell gold. I had multiple bots running, farming and auto posting on the AH, and other bots doing leveling jobs for people.

Giving this back in a couple minutes because it seems like a lot even for the $10, unless you're really quick at this sort of thing.

That was kind of the point I was trying to make. All the MMOs I mention in my post above, I was able to play/have fun while being limited to weekends and what time I had to play after work. Everything I've read and heard about EvE makes it sound like a person shouldn't bother trying to start if htat's all the time they have...

You have to be a REAL garlic fan to like it. Because it's just a big pickled clove stuffed in there. None of that nancy minced stuff. A whole clove.
Mmmhmmm! Some of my favorite foods to snack on are garlic like that, and raw onions
I got very Kurt Vonnegut with that last fast food survey. I almost don't care if they reject, I amused myself at least.

Edit: I did answer honestly, but...
I'm not sure who Kurt Vonnegut is (beyond my brief google search, telling me he is an author...so I'll find something to read from him shortly I'm sure) but I have a feeling you're not the only one. I've never found myself writing the way that I did for a HIT like this, until today. It was actually kind of fun!

This is what Kurt Vonnegut was like. Before being a highly acclaimed author, he got a job at Sports Illustrated and was asked to cover a horse racing story. On his typewriter he wrote "The horse jumped over the fucking fence" and then quit.
