Morning all. I am in KCMO. Also remember if you live in an area not highly populated or where many people will not be getting it, it takes longer to get. My landlord could not get it for my building although all his others have it since we are in an area that is not highly populated by residences yet. (rehab area by downtown) I use my daughters on another side of town.

I won't ever get it and that's ok I guess. It's a trade off for living in the middle of nothing.

1 gb is not a lot. I do very light surfing on my phone (no audio/video streaming) and will usually use over 2 gb a month.
The average data consumption is probably closer to 20gb month if you are just browsing, turking, and some netflix. Comcast has I think a 400gb cap for comparison.

Depends where you live with comcast I think. I have a 1TB cap right now and I near that every month, then it's $10 for every 50GB up to $200

Hi everyone
I have a quick question. We're off line as we try to get settled in our new home --- and get internet again. I just called our 'old' provider - we were on the internet essentials plan (9.95/month!) and I want to stay on that. But he said there is a 1GB cap now. I've never had a cap before..............is that a lot? Or is that going to be a problem for the two of us?

I did 16GB in an hour and a half yesterday.

It's easy to go through. Watch a few high def youtube videos? your 1gb is gone that fast.

Expect G Fiber to take a couple years to roll out. They've been working on it here for like three years and it's been really slow going, seemingly because ATT and Comcast are being a PITA and making it difficult for them to expand.

We were just talking about that the other day because my husband works for a large tech company in one of the North burbs and it hasn't made it there yet. I get that it's not ATL proper, but several large companies have offices/HQ in cities OTP.
