I am right there with you. So far two emails and one phone call (the transfer I made Sunday night right before the under review thing happened Monday never went through to Amazon Payments) have resulted in two canned email responses with slightly different wording. After following several threads I have discovered that everyone in the "special" Mechanical Turk Inquiry team has a name that begins with the letter "A".
The woman I spoke with in payments was helpful, and a turker herself, so she really tried to help, but could not get the money back for me, and of course could only send an email to the mturk people regarding the account, in which she let them know that the AP account was in good order. She works there, she really tried to help, and all her efforts just led to the second canned email. So I fear my emails won't really have any effect.
I am really not sure where to go from here. It seems that many who got reinstated quickly took no action, so I wonder if I made things worse by emailing and calling. Regardless of what happens, I think that they should give me the few hundred I transferred prior to the review, and I think there is probably a legal case for that. But I don't want to go there until I get my account back. I haven't gotten the 2 week email yet, but another guy in the Facebook group got one this morning, and that was his first email. He was working, in the middle of a batch, and poof, under review.
