I won't do webcam tasks, upload a pic of myself, make a phone call, download an app, or use Inquisit unless it's a non-peak time (like late at night or the weekend)

I too won't do webcams, upload pics or videos, or phone calls. I will download some apps (but I do this infrequently). I use Inquisit all the time, despite it sometimes being a pain in the keister. I only give my email out to really good follow-up HITs.
As for writing, I don't mind one sentence. I still want a petition to charge requesters an additional $0.50 to the base pay for anything over 2 sentences. Two bucks for a paragraph, and 10 bucks for your life's history.

i hate writing but will do one or two sentences.
I abhor inquisit and won't use it.
same w/ emails but if they're using the mturk system they should be able to email through it.
i stay away from app downloads, account creations on random websites and audio transcripts.

a canned response actually invalidates the survey and isn't following directions. Requesters read our forum (all forums) - so you should be mindful of that. We all benefit from the fact that requesters trust us - there are studies that 'study' us as a group and have found that we are good subjects (our responses valid . If they came to believe our responses are not valid (or studies indicated that) our revenue on mturk would dry up .

I don't like some of those questions, either, so I either avoid the HIT or do it the way they ask.
