now if Comcast would honor it. I connected to a comcast wifi hotspot just for the heck of it to test their free wifi hotspot claim and it told me i would have to log in with my comcast credentials (not a customer) or go visit a selected free wifi hotspot which i could not find a map or listing of.

now i get why my city launched free wifi hotspots on certain city properties for people to drive to, park, stay in their cars and use. i thought it was crazy the city doing this considering comcast was to make their wifi hotspots free, but now i've seen it's very few if any free comcast wifi free hotspots.

Yep, there are none here from any provider. Some of the areas have deployed school buses equipped as hot spots.
