Definitely a wide variety of skillsets and computer experience, I picked that up in just a few hours on this forum. And, yes, I know a lot of people do their best to answer the questions and help people out. (and you can often tell that the person asking the question has either done zero research, or likely just isn't capable of understanding) But, when it comes down to it, you DO have to dig in and figure things out for yourself, and it IS counterproductive for the most productive people to give away ALL of their secrets.There is a learning curve to mturk. people try to give out as much info as possible, but everyone has a slightly different set up -- not to mention skill set. If you ask on the main thread, often folks have an answer for you.

It was the end code for the first HIT in the group. Use it for the ID at the start and as the end code on the Hit page--for ALL of the Hits in the group. Find it by going to Hit Tracker and search for Ann Pearman and put curser over src button. It will show you the end code you used to submit. Click it on to show the HIT page for the HIT. A useful bit of niceness.For the life of me I can't remember the code for the Pearman hit. I can't recall if it was worker ID, something we made up or if she gave us a code and I forgot to save it!

Oh, I've been using MTS since day one. It DOES work, but the simplicity that makes it a great tool for new Turkers means that it is somewhat limited in what it can do. And it's obvious that a lot of people are using tools that work FASTER and better. That's what I was investigating today. Either how to make Hit Catcher work more efficiently, or find out what it is that's snagging hits more quickly.
