Why would they keep dropping the pay? Don't requesters do their own hits for about 20 minutes, see how many they could do, and then determine a fair pay?

No, no. They pay a group of people a fair wage to beta test before they roll the HITs out to us.

Also they provide health insurance benefits and they let you use the lap pool.
