i assume the tasks take 1.5x longer than stated, just because i think reqs like to understate task time to make the hourly look good on that site. i wish prolific staff would work harder to get better time accuracy and payment for reqs as i thought the goal of the site was more fair pay studies that would at least be us fed min wage hourly or better. cornell keeps putting up low paying studies (1/2 fed min wage hourly) that linger for hours in my studies offerings area list.
Most of the prolific studies I do usually end up taking the time stated or less. There's only been a couple that took longer than the stated time. I tend to be on the quick side of mturk surveys too though.
