I've got another shawl on the needles at the moment. When I finish - the next project is a JK Rowling sweater (I wanted to do one of the owl sweaters, but the one I planned had 10 owls. I've lost interest in that many owls on a single sweater! So, I found this free one https://biscotteyarns.com/collections/knitting-patterns/products/hedwig-cardigan-free-pattern ).

I'm going to do the ribbing on smaller needles (than what they did) and do the shawl collar vertically (not horizontal) - I think that looks a bit 'stretchy'. I bought all the yarn from the thrift store a few weeks ago (the rowan 'score').

@jan, made a soup today, a scallion/potato soup, added a little garlic. (had a bunch of scallions and a few potatoes to use up - my scallions are going crazy this year!) Could easily make it vegan by using a veggie stock. It's yummy! For a different texture, you could puree the potatoes.
14 scallions, plus some for garnish, 1 1/2 lbs taters, I added a few cloves of garlic and a touch of hot sauce, a quart of stock, more or less depending on how soupy you like your soup!

we have tons of scallions, too. I like vichyssoise (haven't made it in eons). Maybe this w/e (farmers market is open now - and I can get potatoes).

i did this about a week ago now did the first part and then nothing. I tried contacting the requester and got no response until about 4 days afterword's in which they ignored what i wrote them and they asked me if i was going to be available for a zoom link on friday (tomorrow) I just ignored them since they could not take the time to read my message nor see in my data that i did not want to be on webcam... I did end up submitting the study since it was not set up correctly nor was told by the requester to do anything when i asked them if i should submit or not.
