Every time I've been called, the trial has been canceled the day before. Thank god.

I love jury duty. I actually had to go to all 3 because they were summons for different courts, but I only ending up serving on one jury. I was bummed I didn't get to serve on the jury for this huge federal drug bust case. I bet Grand Jury was a drag though, especially at 18.

I had jury duty once. I was so nervous. I didn't eat anything for fear of throwing up. My stomach became really really hungry midway through the process and my stomach was making load growling noises. They thought I was farting and sick. Embarrassed and defeated. But I got to leave. !!!!

My husband had to serve on a case that involved rape and murder by strangulation.
He came home very thankful those 3 nights.

DAs are pretty shady, that's the biggest thing I took away from the experience. My entire group and I were disappointed and blown away at the lengths they'll got to prosecute people, even without adequate evidence.

We're only allowed to be called every two years. I've served twice. I keep hoping they'll lose my address.

Yeah, I think it was because one was district, one was federal, and one was local, or something. I ended up only serving on one though.

Yes, and it's disgusting. It's a massive hindrance to actual justice. We got so frustrated because they would throw tantrums and take cases away from us for doing our duty if we didn't prosecute people. Some cases were straightforward and easy, but there were other cases where people absolutely should not have been sent to court that they were trying to push through.
