I don't know a lot about their case, but I know a tiny bit about the FEDS vs. state charges. States are messier - the charges less comprehensive. When the FEDS charge you, they HAVE the 8 by 10 glossy pictures, lol.

So, if that's how it worked out, I doubt there is real bias. They prob. have more damning evidence. When the feds prosecute, they come with every i dotted and t crossed (ime)

Looking it over, he pled to more charges. Both are being charged with federal offenses, so no difference in state vs fed prosecution here.

I mean between how states and feds construct cases (generally). My folks that got state charges - the cases weren't as well prepared (there wasn't as much evidence). When the feds came for folks - they had a LOT of evidence. They had been watching, waiting - for a long time. And they came with everything they needed for a conviction.

eta: as a result, I think there is less oppo for bias
but that's just a bystander opinion

Yeah, federal prosecutors have access to better and more resources than state so they are typically better prepared when bringing a charge.
