She gave me a 90 (then 80, then back to 90) on the qual this weekend so I must be doing something right but I do fear if I get sloppy on one, I might find my qual score lowered and they go away.

They are for keeping me busy when nothing else is catching like the last couple of days more than for me to go to town thinking I"m backing up the brinks truck.

I had a really intense conversation with my boss yesterday. She brought up how she was talking with one of my rangers (who is under a diff supervisor) and how unhappy he was with everything in our organization. he's one of the most happy go lucky, go with the flow, low key guys on the planet and he is massively unhappy. That bothered her. I told her it was a theme with us, and we are all very unhappy. She asked what she could do, and I said I know she can't really do anything. She kept pushing and I said well, my equivalent job in a rec center gets paid $6000-7000 more per year than I do, and she tells me all the time how I do better than they do at everything. That is really disenheartening. Unfortunately if they turned my position into a Rec Spec, I would still have to apply and interview, so no promise of a job. But she also said the city opened a higher level of my current title that pays more, and she would see what she could do. This could take over a year though, so I'm not holding my breath. I'm still unhappy, lol. But man, the dream.
