I know it is so weird the way they did some of them. I have heard of some people getting too much and one where they said instead of depositing the money IRS took it out of their account. Some friends of ours (husband, wife and 2 kids) got 1200 for one adult and 500 for 1 kid direct deposited and then about two weeks later got a paper check for the remainder. The letter with the paper check said because the account linked to their taxes was in his name only and since she wasn't listed on that account they couldn't deposit her stimulus money into it and they split the kids.
