my family has had eq accounts for the full length of their run before f2p...and then they gave us "silver" to let us keep our characters, but didn't allow us to use literally any of our equipment from raids (my mom spent a good 12 years of her life in this game) unless we paid.
Stupid people making throwaway accounts and making game hard to play pissed us off too

I just read that. I'm so fucking happy.

ALSO: My mom religiously dual boxed and was probably the best at it ever. She was reluctant to let me play on the other account at first until I learned her characters well. She bought two accounts just because she loved her druid and cleric but people also needed wizards and such.
