I'm so used to seeing the "old" look that it will take a bit to get used to this one.

But at the same time I remember the old version to be really limiting the options you had with stuff. Its hard to believe how far everything has come since January.

nah. don't do that. i like what i'm seeing so far. nice change of pace on the UI. haven't dug around much to see what else is new but so far so good.

Are all of the plugins up to date?

Yeah, I uninstalled everything before doing the update, just so I could start fresh with everything. But even still, some of those addons that I wasn't able to find updates for left stuff behind in the database and were throwing a lot of errors. I think I got that all taken care of, but it's hard to know for sure yet.

Php-fpm keeps randomly spiking to like 80%+ cpu usage though, so I'm trying to track that down. It's gotta be either an addon or XenForo itself, I would think. I really wish the CP had a resource monitor or something for all of the different components.

is the nginx service running high? i know sometimes that's a killer with a couple of my company's products that rely on it.

No, it's fine. Nginx can actually be pretty good on resources. Better than Apache, I think.
