My rent was $882 (not including gas, sewage, trash) and they raised it by $250. It was a steal before but it's still a huge increase.

Yeah it's tough if it was a good deal before, then. Mine's properly priced, so if it went up 30% I could move to a nicer place on the same block for the new price. Sounds like you can't really do that.

We can get a much nicer place but the location won't be nearly as prime. What can you do?
