I default to the Pittsburghese option of "yinz." This way not only is everyone safe genderwise, but they also get to make use of their favorite search engine.

I have a number of trans* friends, several in a group together. The entire group voted "yinz" as their favorite collective pronoun. I find this hilarious because literally none of us have ever even been to Pitt. (I suggested it as a joke, because I don't live that far from there, but not close enough to easily visit.)

I think so, there are still cheesy bits but overall it's better as it goes on.
