Using VR for PTSD seems like a very good model, to me (phobias and PTSD have a very clear symptomatic nexus). I don't know how much it is being studied directly (sidelined as I am). But I DO know that the military is using exposure tx. with very good success. And, of course, exposure tx in general has deep historical roots in traumatology (and all kinds of other things .


Anyway, I think this is a great thing!

I think I've read somewhere that they were using videogames to expose people to the scenarios that caused them the PTSD in the first place, and that lessened the symptoms afterward.

Funny enough, this book not only helped me get rid of my phobia for spiders, but now I can fly on planes without clinging to the seat like a madwoman. It would be neat if they had a VR game for the cute spiders.

I did message them... I guess no reason to feel dirty, I would have felt dirty if I selected woman, too... Nothing AGAINST transgender, however, I do not think it should be an option when the option is 'sex' ...I suppose if there was a 'what do you identify as', I understand.

It is an option under "sex" so that no one will have difficulty determining if the requester "means" what they identify as, or what some assholes think they should put b/c of a birth certificate

I don't remember. It wasn't that bad, maybe 20-25. I take a lot of breaks in between things because I work in an office during the day.
