difference between thrift and "antique". antique know their value. thrift is usually a charity and doesn't particularly care. at least that's my experience. i've probably told this before here, but it reminds me of the time the X bought a ww 2 millitary shirt at a thrift shop for 2 bucks. sold it at a gun show for 149$$. often the value is only realized by those who collect.

just to add, they are asking well over 100 for that box online. I still don't think it would SELL for that much. The etsy sellers are asking for @150 for it (there are several up there atm).

i'm seeing videos of people complaining thrift shops are no longer as good of place to source items to flip, so i do think they care to try starting to sell at comps less some percentage off if they have a volunteer who happens to have some idea of the collector price rather than just lowball price it. if they can get a better price, it's more money for the charity.
they are raising prices around here for sure. I still get great stuff, that lenox set I got for 40.00 was a steal. (McKinley pattern)
