That approval rating is good enough.
Few people ever get it if they are below 99.9%

Now the amount of approved HITs varies.
Some people get it at 2k, I got it at 300k, I think one person didn't get it til over a million.

In short we don't really know how masters is assigned but if you keep your approval rating high and keep grinding, it'll happen eventually.

They are and they aren't.
A couple people on here got warnings about the quality of their work on Tax Engines and then lost masters shortly after that.

Not worth the risk for me personally.

Hi everyone. Hard drive died on my laptop last night that I use for turking. Debating on fixing it or buying desktop. Anyone have suggestions on whats good for turking or know of any deals? Thanks

A laptop HDD shouldn't be too hard to locate, assuming you know how to replace one and it isn't like, water damage on the MoBo or something.
As for a turking laptop (and where to find components for repairs)...

I've thought about losing masters when I heard the horror stories from people here. I think if that did happen to me it would push me towards actually making some money with my talents in the "real world". It would be a good thing for my bank account but a ding for my mental health, so I'm conflicted. I'm able to get what I need out of turking with masters, not sure how I'd do without it.

Yeah, but you seemed to get caught up in a lot of mass rejections in a short period of time. Not necessarily your fault, just requesters being shitty and rejecting everyone for whatever reasons, but it might have contributed.

I just fucking hate people and not really any skills so this is the best thing for me.

Between that and mental health, I'm lucky I HAVE mturk, even if I do kinda suck at it too. (But not any more than I suck in general, so it's okay.)

70% of my mass rejections came before i got Masters. been pretty clean the last year

so there is no formula to masters
