Whenever I play wow or eso or whatever else I tend to play just by myself and pretend the other people are NPCs It's pretty nice to turn off all the chats I can too.

I see at least five people say literally this every night I play, srs.

The better than beta part? Yeah i played it when fiance was in the beta and hated it. he finally made me try it a couple months back on a free weekend and I haven't really stopped playing it since then, lol

Well, I was there once too. It's kind of why I have a born again, evangelical sort of hatred towards the damn games - things got a whole lot better once I stopped. It kind of hurts to see old friends continue that road well almost into their 40s now.

I don't often get depressed. I have OCD, which is kind of the opposite. But I enjoy video games every now and then, because I can spend a few hours not thinking about anything else.

It's possible to be healthy about it. I don't log in at all during the weekday, and I am super super casual - I know plenty of people who watch as much or more TV in a night than I game.

It's not hard to imagine, though, that if you had the problem once it's easier to stay away from all the games period. For whatever it's worth from some internet stranger, I'm glad you were able to stop.

I like stooooories, and ESO absolutely kills it on that front. I find the depth of the lore super satisfying, much richer than WoW.

Oh, I loooove the questing on ESO. I love that I get to make little choices sometimes. Even if it doesn't do a whole lot, I love that i still have the option. It also means next time I run through I can chose the other side. (Although most of the time I don't because it involves doing "mean" things.)
