Yes. I know of 3 people from the same household who applied a few months ago, and all were denied. A couple of weeks ago, one of them received an invite - strange.

You should be able to submit, but if you leave it on the page and no one connects, then come back in around 15 minutes (edit - I mean when the timer hits 15+ after accepting), you might find there are actually other players. That's what happened to me.

It's a good HIT, you might have just gotten a return because you can't do more than one of them. If it's the extended game HIT, I don't think it was any more than 30.
