i only knew about the outage because CNBC was reporting it and doing followups.

apparently a CDN named fastly was the issue and the last report i saw is that many of the major websites that went down were back up.

I assume AMT uses AWS and I was able to scan for hits overnight so i doubt not catching things was related to an outage but rather luck.
