I made pico de gallo with organically grown jalapenos from my backyard. It was delicious.

I grew jalapenos one year. They were just about ready, I went out to pick a few, and discovered they were gone. Almost all of them. I saw raccoon tracks..... followed them. Then I see around the pool deck, more muddy raccoon prints. And in the pool, all the chewed up pieces of jalapenos. Poor raccoons!

I just used a coffee grinder to grind about 10 types of dried herbs. I'm working on recreating an old spice blend for spaghetti sauce I used to use that was discontinued around 2000. I actually got the original ingredient list, so that was lucky.
