I edited my reply to add: "Maybe they mean you didn't qualify based on their instructions but you did the HIT anyway rather than returning it, so they rejected you because you didn't qualify."

Remember you catch more flies with honey. It could they just aren't familiar with the MTurk system and didn't know what they were doing. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and see if you can talk through with them what happened rather than getting nasty.

If you didn't qualify for the HIT and did it anyway, there's not much you're going to be able to do about the rejection. Just move on.

If you believe you did qualify and submitted all correct information and were rejected anyway and didn't deserve the rejection, you can talk to them about that and see if they'd be willing to reverse the rejection. But whether they are or not is completely up to them.

Not really. They can manage HITs however they want. Some do it much, much better than others.

Some of the stuff was ordinary - but good (banana republic stuff, I got one of their sweaters). And some ordinary stuff (the loft, gap). A few pieces that were pretty yucky - style wise - but nothing too terrible. I think it's a consignment shop - I didn't look (they had everything set up outside). But there was a mini crowd right at 8am on a Sunday. Apparently it's a yearly event (so, I guess we'll be heading back there next year
