Replacing your main PC (that just died), can have advantages...

After a hell week, and half a dozen craigslist and Facebook Marketplace sellers... Got a used desktop PC, with a split monitor setup (I replaced one of the small monitors, with a 23" monitor). Been wanting dual monitors for Mturk for a few years... I'm morphing my existing hardware, with an i7, 8gig, 1 T box, and a HP 20 inch swivel monitor. $120 for the PC. The extra DVI video card he installed, supports the monitors, if 60 mghz refresh is okay with you (eh). It's sucking about 150 watts power...

Found an exchange student graduating the local university, who took good care of this, and can't take the PC back to Germany. Feeling like I got a bonus, when I was just trying to get by.

Maybe we could start a thread on what our PC set ups are for Mturk work.
