on the sergey 5 cent hits... if the search is a genre, and the result is a movie/tv show that is within that genre, is that an exact match? there is no example like that in the instructions.
I'm considering it so.

I put exact match. If you read the please remember to section for movies it says broad query. Thats how I understood it anyway.

I've been marking them relevant, because they are not exactly the same.

Now that i have reread the instructions I think you are correct. I have been doing them wrong. Thanks for pointing this out to me.

  • For Movies. The query could be some popular variations of the title For e.g. 'LoTR' or 'Lord of the Rings'; or a broad query like 'Thriller movies' or 'Oscar nominated movies'

I thought there was an example that said something like "if the search is for "drama" and the search is for "fargo" then it's relevant but not exact." but I could be way off.

  • For Movies. The query could be some popular variations of the title For e.g. 'LoTR' or 'Lord of the Rings'; or a broad query like 'Thriller movies' or 'Oscar nominated movies'
But that contradicts these instructions:

  • Exact Match Result is an exact match for what the user who issued the query is looking for. For e.g. Result is the movie, Titanic for the search query, 'titanic'
  • Relevant, but NOT Exact Match Result is not an exact match for the given query, but is still relevant sharing the central/prime subject/topic with the exact match result. For e.g. Result a parody show, Breaking Belding for the popular AMC show, Breaking Bad for the search query, 'breaking bad'/span>
