It's possible, but off the top of my head I only remember ever doing 1 hurricane related HIT and it was a 75 cent thing on insurance. I don't think this was that, and I checked my history.

Same issue here (I live in Tampa and it is reported as Florida on MTurk). Not qualified despite both attributes states that I meet them.

This week I made the decision that it's time to go back to the "adult world" and started putting out teaching apps. Kinda nervous since it will be my first job aside from Mturk since graduating last year. My oldest is starting Kindergarten and my youngest is too much of a social butterfly to keep home. Actually, that's not safe for girls-
Customers call their companies, and tell them their numbers were gotten from them unfairly, and get it reversed, and I slightly know one chick who almost got criminal charges for theft b/c of that shit...
They do that shit on Paypal too- b/c "adult" charges are against TOS.... when they're done, they just tattle & get accounts shut down.

Where are the big bonuses coming from?

I got something like 50 HITs over the last week that have a base pay of 5 cents and then offer bonuses of up to $15 if you continue to work beyond the requirement for the 5 cents. It was all lines of German transcription from various old seeming books, or maybe just bad scans. I am not sure really, but I don't speak German I would just always max out the bonus potential on each HIT.

EDIT: 50 is a little hyperbolic, apparently it was 11 but it felt like 50. xD
