Morning peeps :excited:

Does anyone know if this vacationapi qual is going to be two parts? I faintly remember they're being a followup qual test when they last posted but I might be mixing it up with something else.
It was two parts the last time they did it. Those who get this first one correct will get a second one in a few days.

Hi, the 35 seconds is the "Average Time per Assignment" for the batch, which is a figure MT provides, so I was using this to calculate what a reasonable hourly rate would be. Presumably this "selection time" is the time between assignments? How long is that, generally?
That 'Average Time per Assignment' also includes when people accept your hit, then return it quickly when they realize how much work it is. That skews the data and makes it pretty much unusable.

I work hard to maintain a 100% approval rating. Shouldn't that have some weight?
I think all requesters should use > 98%, but it really doesn't mean much. Keeping a high approval rate is really, really easy -- even if you are not the best of workers.

100% just means you're lucky enough to have avoided a "oops, I made a mistake so I rejected" rejection (and that you are probably relatively new.)

but that figure is going to include all the people you mentioned who are rushing through and providing bad work, probably spending a few seconds on each HIT.

By "selection time" I meant the time it actually takes to make the selections from the list in the hit after reading the article. I apologize that I didn't define that well. sofaslug @sofaslug had a good comment about the "Average Time per Assignment" which is a statistic that I'm not personally familiar with since I have never posted any tasks as a requester.

By the way, I want to commend you on taking some time today to dig into the feedback from this forum. You're in the right place even if we sound ferocious sometimes.

I have about 32,000 completed with 0 rejects, and I completely agree with this. While I am super careful, probably to the point that it costs me money, I have also been lucky enough to have made my mistakes with requesters who have either allowed me to fix them or let me slide. I am proud of my 100% approval rating, but it definitely has a bit of luck attached to it.

He's been using the masters qual to avoid that.

How long has it taken people to hear back about the API qual after submitting it?
I want to say it was about a week, but I don't remember for sure.

How many hits have you done? If you have the padding it might be time to try out some riskier batches. Taking some risks with a few rejections on requesters with no TO has made me a lot more money than Masters has (so far).

It's good that you're careful, but no amount of care can prevent a "sorry we had to pull the project" rejection.
