Wrote Mapbox about the rejection threat for improper captchas. Just wanted to clarify their stance for myself, and for others.

We do a loose text match on the Captchas. Fill it in as closely as possible. HIT's will not be rejected for a small number of errors. We look at your Captcha totals overall.

Thanks for sharing the response. That's really reassuring, because these are like visiting my optometrist with no option to say "I can't read the chart at all now, please go back a lens"

I emailed cd1211 about that survey which popped up after the qual hit was over asking if I should do it, and if so I would be happy to if she sent me the link. This is the response I received back, so if you DIDN'T do it, looks like you'll get the chance to do it soon. (And props to her for bonusing those who did do it even though she can't use the data. That's a stand-up thing to do.)

We’re still working out some of the kinks on that study, so it’s been disabled. I of course did bonus those who did complete it, since the instructions weren’t clear, but I won’t be able to use their data because of the glitches. As soon as we get it running smoothly, you’ll be e-mailed a link to the survey, which will pay the same amount. Apologies for the confusion!

You should be alright, they are pretty easy. I wouldn't rely solely on google search though. I find a lot of them using wikipedias search.

you are doing them wrong. Youre supposed to write the captcha 8 times. Then find 10 websites that offer better captcha options and post those after the 8 captchas. Then post your worker ID 12 times. hang your head in shame.

I knew it! I was only finding 9 websites entering 6 captchas and no turk id, they dont deserve that! hung in shame...give me the rope its over!
