survey link in the hit was broken, it was missing actual survey content and went straight to demographics and gave a code. currently working on the actual survey

Oh, if it was missing actual survey content that would be silly to actually submit since one didn't do anything.

For lurkers and new people, submitting a broken HIT is not a good idea. I'm glad you got a link to the survey, but you said you were submitting a HIT you didnt actually do.

It's obviously a terrible idea to post in a forum that people look to for advice that you are submitting HITs you didn't work on.

I think it kinda looks bad even if it's only at "your discretion" to post about submitting it when you hadn't done the work.

I get that /now/ you're doing the work, but you weren't in the beginning and that looks kinda bad.

If you don't care, then why not just leave it alone. You were being a terrible example, and you got called out on it. We have just as much right to point out bad advice.

Sure, and it's not only at you. Anyone that's submitting hits w/out working on them is welcome to not post about it.



I think everyone has said all they need to and this conversation should move on. Everyone (not just you) should always be aware that requesters do look at this forum, and posting about not doing the work you (general you, not you specifically) are given makes us all look bad.
