Any Floridian's here looking into getting the card? I believe I qualify, but all I've found so far are doctors that want to charge $300 for your first visit and $150/visit after. WTF? Is FL just trying to make it more expensive/difficult? Or is there something I'm missing? I'm really wanting to get my card ASAP so I can finally be legal and maybe go see a store or two that sells it. I still can't wrap my head around that there are marijuana stores now!

They charge 'cause they can. It was always cheaper in california back when you needed a card but it was still a business for the doctors. The medical need part was BS. I need to smoke 'cause it hurts to open my wallet would be a valid reason. They'll give you a card and magically cure you so you can shell over some money for them to give it to u

From what I was reading in my search results the night we spoke about it last, you should be able to get the card through your regular doctor, the one that does your prescriptions and such. I could be wrong, but it seemed like they would be able to do the proper permissions and such that get that underway. You might try talking to your doc and seeing what can be done.

So do I just pick any random doctor that prescribes it? (preferrably the cheapest)? Here they have a list of qualifying conditions, I believe I meet two of them and my husband definitely qualifies. They just legalized it for medicinal in Nov... should I wait a little longer? I'm clueless about this and not sure what info to believe on the internet on this topic. Plus I don't want to get in trouble...
