If I could suggest..

I made a google sheets document where I keep track of any and all balances in my account, as well as expenses

when I buy something, I enter a negative balance in that specific financial institution's column
a few times per week I'll log into the respective banking sources to make sure my running balances are correct

I made this sheet to help keep track of my money, as well as making sure I don't get any overdrafts.
