A block is a block. There are no different kinds of blocks

so why would you get emails for some but not others? i have only ever gotten 2 email blocks, but have been "blocked" from working on certain requesters HITs because when i try to work on them i get that message. but no email. ?

Emails aren't consistently sent out. It seems it's more of a glitch in their emailing system than anything else.

Who knows, but on the requester side when they go to block someone there is only one option

i feel like that can't be the case. i have lost track of how many "blocks" i've gotten because i only notice them when i try to accept that requesters' HITs. i'd say 5-6 at the bare minimum. but i've only gotten 2 block emails. so is their email system really malfunctioning 75% of the time?
