It's not so much contacting the requesters but more like some people will send them severed doll heads with a note made in cut up magazine letters saying " Give me the qual or else", that puts off some requesters.

Killing batches because they don't edit out their money makers, letting 100s of people know what they did, and then next time around making 1/20th of what they did before and getting throttled. Mturks changes have made the competition for HITs worse with throttling, before it was just the batch would die faster, not i'll die faster while you can't even accept the work.
