Sometimes I can't get out of my dreams. I wake up, but I'm actually still dreaming. Sometimes I realize this. I wake up in my bed, but I'm still dreaming. Other times, I'm not sure. So I ask Frodo if I'm dreaming, but he tells me to fuck off because he's got more important things to worry about. I really thought he'd be nicer.

Oh, and I totally walk better when I'm drunk.

Years ago I had this dream that wouldn't go away. It occurred on what seemed like a nightly basis. My mother, who had been dead for some years and a very evil person, was screaming at me from her grave that she was alive and I had to rescue her. This drama continued nightly. Finally in the dream I got my father and son and anyone else important to her and told them what was happening and we had to dig up her grave. The local cops were there too. So we did. And yes, she was alive. Know what happened? The hateful woman continued to haunt my nightly dreams for nights after that. Only now she was free. Then one night in a dream she said she was tired and ready to go back so she died and we reburied her. Though that evil still creeps through my nights occasionally so I don't know how successful we were. And these were not just dreams. We had whole scenarios going on within the family through each of my dreams. Probably give some psychology student a great study for their doctorate.
holy shit, that sounds terrifying. and also kind of...like maybe it wasn't entirely 'just a dream'. but I'm also superstitious or whatever. I'm glad they've mostly stopped, though.

I have this one recurring scenario where I'm in some kind of enormous tent-city but it's actually like multiple levels and stuff, and all that's around it is a wasteland (like after a huge war or something). I'm always running through the city being chased by something but I never know what, and I keep coming to dead ends and having to backtrack. Every time I have the dream I'm with a different person, sometimes my boyfriend, sometimes my son, etc. I always wake up terrified though, even though it doesn't sound very scary. It sucks, and happens at least once a week.

I can't tell if this is a joke or not, but I have sleep paralysis sometimes (I think that's what it's called) and that's kind of what it feels like.

I can still turk but, nothing gives me a code. And when I type, I look at the keys and it's as if I've never seen letters before. :p

even tho you have not watched any of that for a long time, it is still in your subconscious mind, just like I can dream about something that happened to me back in the 70s and it's like WTF :)

Well, the bit about Frodo was a joke. I do have recurring dreams where I wake up in my bed, but I'm actually still dreaming. It's all very realistic too, but then I'll notice something is off. So. I try to wake myself up. Sometimes that works, but sometimes I just wake up in another dream.

it really is! I've had it happen about 4 times, I think? so luckily not that many. 3 of those 4 times were the day after I found a huge spider/other creepy crawly on me, and when the sleep paralysis actually happens I always feel spiders covering me but can't move

sorry I've derailed the thread again :grimace:....not that there's much work up. lol

couple times a week, usually just after I've fallen asleep, I see spiders or bugs flying at me and start flailing around .Then I remember I'm blind af without my glasses on and there's no way I would be able to see spider fangs from that far away.

Usually don't remember that till after I hit fiance though. He's stopped going to bed at the same time as me.

don't ever listen to the George Noory show Coast to Coast. He's got people that come on there and they will tell you what sleep paralysis is in their opinion.
