tahini is ground up sesame seeds w/olive oil. You mix it w/lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, maybe cumin or cilantro. Really good

I was going for a tzatsiki sauce, but I may have to look into tahini.

DON'T DO TAHINI ease yourself in with Tzatziki. Tahini is real deal and I think personally not beginner friendly. I haven't had much luck with it when trying to get non ethnic food folks to eat ethnic foods.

@jan no more joking about you maybe having a black thumb because that's me.

I started 2 tomato plants indoors, kept them inside as we were having very windy days through june, decided it's time to put them outdoors to see if they will grow faster and give tomatos by the time it freezes in november, the 95 deg heat and mid-size winds killed them in a couple of days. ;(

just for kicks, I'm going to try again - putting in seeds tonight (starting them outside this time) and see if I can get something by first freeze but they might be too long of season tomatos for that but I'm going to try anyway.

here's a distraction - is Jason Aldean overrated? He performed at a local concert venue last night. Just after the opening act and before he was about to begin his part of the evening, there was major lightning and rain. Many went home thinking it would be cancelled. Some stayed thinking he might perform after the storm passed. Storm passed, it cleared up, he performed and people who went home are complaining that they should get a refund because of the rain even though the concert went on after the rain ended.

It's hard for me to think he's that big of deal - it's not like he is the Rolling Stones or KISS or something.
