Prolific has become very competitive for HITS. Seeing 50 available when they drop of a HIT and not getting one is becoming common now.

So,... what happened? Where is everyone now? I understand from reading Reddit and things the last two days that mturk isnt very good at all now but where is everyone? lol Where do you find anyone chatting about HITs or even other similar work on a daily level. Like about mturk, Prolific, etc

I think many are on different platform, or doing stuff in the gig economy. One regular poster now drives for Uber. I do a lot more for Prolific now and am checking out some other sites. I also write, code, and run a couple of niche websites. I just run MTS in the background and check here every few hours. I'll be lucky to crack $2500 this year between my health and Mturk. Quite a comedown from the low 5 figure years - I could count on 10-12K a year, a few years hit 20K

Seems like it! I needed some cash quickly and im in between jobs so thought to try mTurk. A quick ten bucks is not happening like it used to!

if you're doing other things, and leave it on - and jump on now and then - it makes some sense

other than that, totally not worth it.
