It slowly adds up, but I hate when I work on a low paying hit, and then realized that better hits were posted while I was working on the garbage hit. It's like when you leave the room or take a short break and realize you missed a few good hits that were posted while you were away. So is the life of turker.

i agree , it seems to happen more often then it should, I do a survey for 50 cents to find out i missed out on a 8 dollar one .
