downtown is such a fascinating place. one second, it's rich and vibrant and next second you're walking into a massive homeless tent city. then back into a nice bar area.

Yeah. It can change in a heart beat. I don't know what I feel like doing to be honest. I like aspects of downtown. I like aspects of where I'm at now. I suck at making certain decisions. This particular apartment complex in Houston got HORRID reviews a few years ago. Literally 1 stars across the board. However, I believe a new company bought it and did a makeover on it.

However, now there's no reviews and their webpage is blank. It looks okay on the outside now, but the lack of new reviews is a little troubling. Looks like the re-do happened a year ago or so

so I don't know

it's risky. but downtown is going through alot of positive change. if you can afford it. try it. you dont have to stay forever.

Have you gone for a walk-through yet? My current place is kind of the same, though their website was updated and there was a handful of newer reviews about the new company being much better. I based it mostly off of the feel I got from the walk-through though. Just don't do anything "just because", make sure its what you want, and that you can remain above water while you're there. If its not good, you can always look into subleasing or early termination, or just tough it out til the end of the 12 months.
