I complained on Prolific where it asks at the end of the survey if everything went ok, that survey was underpaid and should have paid double. I just got bonus'd a nickel LOL

speaking of prolific...it seems like the pay is drifting downards..anyone else notice that?

I got bonused 4 cents today but I didn't complain in the comments on that one. took me 2 mins instead of 1 min and maybe the requester saw that.

I did mention at the end of a "11 minute" survey today that it took me almost 25 mins so I found the time listed in the task title as inaccurate. I bet it took the normal person almost 20 mins. Doubt there is a bonus coming when that gets approved.

I notice requesters have an incentive to underreport the estimated time so they can offer less for doing it. I'm not convinced Prolific has systems in place to compare requester time estimates to actual average study completion time and have discussions with requesters who constantly underreport study times.

That's an excellent idea! They should be able to track when we actually start on a survey, as opposed to just accept, and calculate our time - use that as their pay rate from then on. I agree, they have an incentive to underreport - who's gonna do a survey that pays 4 an hour? Or if we're choosing between different surveys in our queue and they're expiring at the same time.
Most of the time I do not get a bonus, really it's an easy way for me to vent. Maybe 10 percent of th time I get a buck or two extra. But really, getting an extra nickel just pisses me off. Be better if you just don't give me anything
