I'm actually getting ready to make farmers market corn on the cob and trying to decide between farmers market okra or farmers market squash. I miss having a garden but my yard is so out of control that I'm going to have to hire someone to get it to a point I can do that again. But that requires money which is the problem. So farmers market is the next best thing for now.

I love brussel sprouts. Yeah when I had a garden I did best with tomatoes. I had over 20 varieties. but the squirrels are pesky little creatures. They would pull one off, take one bite, throw them on the ground and get another one. But it gets so hot here that it is a fine line between sun, too much sun, putting up some type of sun filter etc. Still I miss it.I have a few hard squashes, eggplant, and cukes
My biggest crop will probably be brussel sprouts.
I wish I could plant cabbage, broccoli and the like - but I haven't done well with them in the past (the critters eat them). Maybe next year I'll work out a better system
