I think most don't make much, but the top streamers can make quite a bit. I think they bring in enough people that they're able to negotiate better deals with Twitch.

I used to stream GTAV-RP stuff for a short while, mostly for fun and for a few friends to watch. I was watching someone doing the same thing and they had 2500 viewers having a bit war and he made $1k in just bits in about 10 minutes. There's a person i was watching last night that made several thousand in bits over the course of about 3 hours.

The reason its hard of course is generating that big of a viewer base to begin with. I'm not interesting enough to get those kind of views so mturk is the better solution for me hah.

I think good streamers make it look a lot easier than it really is. Being entertaining live for hours is a really tough thing to do, so if you don't have a lot of talent for that, you better be pretty damn good at video games.

Looks like a lot of competition these days. The key to success seems to be lots screaming and laughing at everything like it’s the funniest thing you’ve ever heard.
