This gives me food for thought. My biggest concern is using it wrong with our clients/tenants/owners. I mean, they KNOW the boss's name, and if she is using a different name they have no clue who she is talking about. It also does not inspire confidence if an employee cannot even get the name of the person who writes her paychecks correct. I know I'd be worried about someone who was handling one of my most important assets and she could not even remember her boss's name.

I may give it another week or so then ask my mom that it is important she gets the name correct to reduce confusion for our clients/tenants/owners/vendors.

There are other issues as you said, and maybe that is why this bugs me, as it is another indication of rushing and not taking a second tor two to think about something before taking action. We are handling some extremely valuable assets for other people, and they literally pay us to do that carefully, methodically, legally, and to their financial benefit.

Just a thought, from a former teacher. You might also consider how you would handle the situation if you discovered they had a learning disability. Mild dyslexia, autism, aspergers, etc. Obviously it's still important to get it right- but would you have more patience or a different approach in light of that information?

you'll get it tomorrow... 1 and 2 I think... I am so lucky I got it... I have no idea how to do scripts yet... I have been doing better than my first month, but have a lot to learn!! I have hit catcher - but I am such a novice, I have a very basic understanding of what I should be doing...

You need to be more conservative in that case then. Work according to your stats. Risk when you can but never expose yourself. Its an unfortunate reality of MTurk. I have 480 that I can risk, after 46000 HITs with 16 rejections. Kinda low.

Yep, you're right. I did think to myself I should limit what I did, but it was slow and I had passed the qualifier, and . . .

Looks like there still isn't much on mturk this afternoon. Trying out some masters' HITs that require me to guess age/race/gender of people in photos. Never have done any of this requester's HITs before, so no idea if they'll go through or not.

This it to tricker. I've been watching the line. Occasionally I have a person that comes into my life, usually in business, and I continuously confuse them with another. I never figured out why. Something gets crossed somewhere I guess. Maybe they remind me of someone but I've never put my finger on it. Perhaps asking the employee if she is being defiant if you are allowed to ask that in a nice way or does she need another name like addressing the boss as Ms. and last name? could just be circuits are crossed.
