Well, my husband took my daughter to the dmv to get her permit today so she can drive the car in driver's ed......I hope it's going well. She wasn't super excited to go and get it. I was so excited when I got mine that I was at the place before it opened...on my birthday...

Edit: Scratch that, they are on their way back. The poor thing failed her eye exam. Now we have to go to the eye doctor and then back to the dmv. It's going to be a long day.

OMG, the cable guy was just here to fix the internet and he helped me get my HD tv set up with the full cable box. I had a very outdated TV on there before and this TV just connected to the unscrambler. And what a difference. Now to get into the 21th century.

Good morning. Woke up super early (5 am) on my own. My "baby" starts high school today and we are both nervous. He chose a high school that is not the one most of the kids he's been in school with since K are going to because he wanted to do the Robotics program offered there. So he's the perfect trifecta for nerves: Freshman, new school, knows almost no one.

This also means I no longer get lunches. I have to pick him up from school and get him home so my lunch is now that...driving across town to retrieve him and get him home in the afternoon. Looks like I'll be eating lots of food in my car for a while.

Bummed that I got up so early and there is NO work this morning. Ugh.

Hooray. My Monday deposit paid for the utilities at my cottage for the month and for my Spectrum Internet bill. I feel accomplished and slightly more adult.

Spectrum here is $64.99 for 200 mb/s uncapped. Every time I use the internet I thank the deities that I don't have Comcast.
