Just wanted to highlight @SweetiePuff's post in case anyone missed it. Please take a moment to read it.

MTC Mentors

​

We are looking establish a mentor group of volunteers to guide and support those who are new to our MTC Community and turking. This idea was brought up recently in the Forum Guidelines thread and there seemed to be a few who expressed interest, so Admin reached out and asked if I would like to coordinate.


When a new member joins the forum, they receive a “Welcome” email. A list of Mentor volunteer names would be included in this initial email as a potential resource for the member. In addition to being available via PM, Mentor volunteers would also answer questions on the Forum throughout the day and maybe even solicit questions in the Daily Work Thread to see if anyone needs help.


You do not need to be an expert to be a volunteer, but a solid base of knowledge would be helpful. It’s also necessary that you know how to point a new member to the proper place/source to help them find the answer. This is a volunteer forum position and you would be identified with a Mentor banner under your name. This will allow new members to recognize you and reach out or current forum members can point them in your direction.


If you are interested in becoming an MTC Mentor, please send a PM to Sweetiepuff. Dependent on the response received, we will be organizing a small selection of those interested, with final approval from the Admin Team. Please be sure to include the hours in which you are most commonly available and frequent the forum as we would like to provide a wide coverage base.
