My grandmother worked at her company for something around 40 years and when she started people kept calling her Wanda and she was just so happy to have a job that she never corrected them. So, everyone in my family started calling her Wanda and it just stuck. When it was time for her to retire she finally told them all that her name was Barbara.

No, it was Arnold, lol. Also, one time when we were kids we went to visit her and she called in sick to work so she could spend time with us, but after an hour she called them back and told them that she had lied and that she wasn't really sick and went into work anyway.....she was super great!

...probably? idk my mom broke her ankle clear in half and was walking on it...ended up with a metal plate and screws because of it
