I know the feeling! My kids started back to school last week, but my husband didn't have to start back till this week (he's a professor) and now the house is all quiet. It's a little weird.

(That's an old expression. Just identifying it because it's not well known - I would guess......I was at the auto shop the other day getting my inspection and telling my Yugo joke. In FL there is NO inspection, so a few years ago - my daughter's teacher drove up in a Yugo - that was held together by bunggee cords - with only minimal exhaust smoke. Anyway......the guy was too young to have heard of a Yugo. So, the joke didn't really work. I don't want this root hog thing to go the way of the Yugo)

I guess the Yugo was a better idea than trying to sell the Chevy Nova to Spanish speaking countries.

It seems like it moves up every year. They do get more vacations throughout the year though.

Florida drivers will never impress me, have some cousins there. One drives a 70's El Camino with rusted out floorboards (you can see the ground) still to this day. the fumes are something else at stops

That's interesting some of your kids start back in September that's how it was when I was in school. Now they are starting today and their last day will be something like May 24th.

We went like September 6th till like June 2nd. I think they get about 2 less weeks of summer vacation however I'm pretty sure their vacations during the year are longer and I think the requirement of days to attend school here has been increased.
