I understand caution. I also understand not wanting rejections. And, the first one does suck. But, for your sanity, try and get past that. The first one is really the only hurdle. The only difference between 99.001% accuracy and 99.99% accuracy is the way you are thinking about it. And bragging rights. As far as AMT is concerned, a 99 is a 99. It will never be 100 again and, you're obviously not going to go below 99 being this cautious. So, deep breath. Keep turking.
99.99% of HITs require no research to see if you've done them before. If you have, you'll be disqualified or, they'll have you check it against a list of IDs or, something will prevent you from doing it again. On the off chance that doesn't happen, you'll get a rejection. You'll have 2. You'll still have 99% approval.
Rejections are just like a small x on a large test. No biggie for 1 or 3. A lot and you have to worry. You should start thinking of them as 'not perfect' rather than a rejection. Nobody is perfect all the time.
But, don't spend 15 minutes researching a $.10 HIT. You'll drive yourself nuts.
Just try and think about how much 1 rejection would affect your rating, then you decide how much you should worry about it.
You'll be fine.
